Velji Dosabhai & Sons now certified IATA Cargo Agent
Velji Dosabhai & Sons Pvt. Ltd (VDSPL) has achieved the distinction of becoming a certified IATA Cargo Agent.
Milestone comes even as VDSPL completes 83 event-filled years.
Velji Dosabhai & Sons Pvt. Ltd (VDSPL) has achieved the distinction of becoming a certified IATA Cargo Agent.
It happened in July 2008, the month in which VDSPL completed 83 years of operations—an eventful voyage from Custom House Agent to complete logistics provider.
Into air operations since many years, VDSPL had embarked upon the task of getting the coveted certification from IATA, and managed to obtain it gracefully in a very short span of time, highlighted a release.
The company has set up a separate division to look into air shipment services, with well-experienced and trained staff in place to handle the day-to-day operations.
Congratulating the VDSPL team on this achievement, Mr. Natvarlal Popat, Chairman and Managing Director of the group, pointed out that VDSPL had always kept customer need as its focus and accordingly augmented its service profile.
Strengthening the air cargo division by acquiring the IATA certification was a definitive step in that direction, he stressed, considering the rapid growth in air transport needs for both exports and imports.
Mr. Prashant Popat, Director, also pilots the fortunes of the company.
VDSPL today offers a gamut of services for import/export of sea and air consignments, transportation and door-to-door logistics.
